Elva MacGowan Ensemble

Soprano Elva MacGowan is delighted to perform @TheDrawingRoom, accompanied by Sarah Lynch, fiddle; Drazen Derek, guitar; Bill Blackmore, trumpet and Dave Flemming, double bass will perform ballads and jazz favourites made famous by singers Margaret Whiting, Judy Garland,Tom Waits, Robert Johnson, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Alison Krauss, Al Bowlly, Edith Piaf and more. Although trained classically, Elva also fell in love with the jazz, folk, traditional and blues scene in Dublin and has been busy collaborating with different musicians to suit her style. She has since blended her knowledge of vocal performance with her love of old timey songs and traditional acoustic accompaniments. An acoustic performance with folk and blues influences, not to be missed.
